Chief Executive Officer

Tom Thomason assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of ERC in November 2007. Thomason has over 30 years in project and commercial management. He has worked in Egypt, Kuwait, London, Paris, as well as in various locations in the USA. During his 25 year tenure with Bechtel, he held numerous management positions with responsibility for legal, commercial and operations functions. Prior to joining ERC, Thomason served as Globeleq’s Vice President for North Africa and Managing Director of Sidi Krir Generating Company, with management responsibility for the construction and commercial operations of Egypt’s first privately owned and operated power plant which is now in its eighth year of successful operation.

Chief Financial Officer

Mostafa Al-Ramly joined ERC in October 2009 as the Chief Financial Officer. Al-Ramly has over 25 years of experience in the chemicals industry, with the last 10 years spent as a CFO of the Egyptian Fertilizers Company (EFC), where he guided the project through construction, start-up, commissioning, operation and subsequent expansion. Al-Ramly has an excellent understanding of the Egyptian project development and operations environment.
